all that is true. LMA is a library in the truest sense.

it is not a commercial site, and like a book library, the ones that Benjamin Franklin started, well I forgot what I was going top write...

it's beyond books but if I were at a library now, I wouldn't steal a book.

Not even "Steal This Book".

I wouldn't even steal the book I helped write (1 chapter, anyway, in The Alfred Hitchcock Presents Companion).

But I might xerox a few pages at the library.

BZZZZT....

a message just appeared on my screen, this windows is new to me, it says you have something something, illegal...

gotta go, someone's knocking on the door.

PS

youtoob has about a month before the footprint technology gets installed, that will i.d. all dvd etc rips.

It's a billion dollar library, uh oh.

Hitch only got an honorary oscar if memory serves.

I love Peter O'Toole's attitude about "honorary" awards.

Thanks for the Hitch Companion comment...

There really did use to be these "you have performed an illegal action" or some such on Windows.

A friend (who only knows how to turn the pc on, and then off by unplugging it!) was actually nervous when that message popped up on their pc while I was trying to "help it work better".

yee yeah hah, the Library of Congress might have a copy, in the sub-basement unsorted stacks

(still in print, but low distribution)

O'Toole doesn't think the honorary Oscar he got is a real Oscar, though he politely accepted it, he said to Charlie Rose it was (what were his exact words... deliciously derisive... dang me, can't recall them)
an unearned afterthought, a tid-bit tossed to an dying dog (but he said it sooo much better than that).
